Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 15, 2026  ·  Last Updated: August 15, 2026

HomeFish Media (“HomeFish,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit homefishmedia.com, contact us, interact with our advertising or lead-generation campaigns, submit information through a form, or otherwise interact with HomeFish Media.

HomeFish Media is not a law firm. We provide marketing, advertising, lead-generation, lead-qualification, and related services. Providing information to HomeFish Media does not create an attorney-client relationship with HomeFish Media or any law firm.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, city, state, ZIP code, company or law-firm name, job title, practice areas, geographic markets, marketing needs, intake capacity, CRM information, budget information, and other information you choose to provide.

Prospective legal-client and lead information

When an individual responds to a legal-services advertising campaign that we operate or support, we may collect information needed to understand the inquiry and determine whether a participating law firm may be appropriate. Depending on the campaign, this may include:

Some information voluntarily provided in connection with a potential legal matter may be treated as sensitive personal information under applicable law.

Information collected automatically

We may automatically collect IP address, browser and device information, operating system, approximate location, pages viewed, links clicked, referral source, advertising and campaign identifiers, conversion data, form interactions, dates and times of visits, and similar usage information through cookies, pixels, analytics tools, server logs, and related technologies.

2. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

We and service providers working on our behalf may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate our sites, measure performance, understand visitor behavior, prevent fraud, attribute conversions, and improve or measure advertising.

Third-party providers may include advertising platforms, analytics providers, call-tracking services, CRM providers, hosting providers, email or communications services, and similar vendors. Their processing may also be governed by their own privacy policies.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

4. How We Share Personal Information

Participating law firms and service providers

If you submit information seeking legal services, we may disclose that information to a participating law firm or other service provider that may be able to assist with your inquiry. The receiving firm independently decides whether to contact you, evaluate your matter, or offer representation. Sharing information does not guarantee representation or any particular legal outcome.

Vendors and contractors

We may disclose information to vendors that provide hosting, CRM, analytics, advertising, call tracking, telephone, SMS, email, cloud storage, cybersecurity, verification, payment processing, professional, and other operational services.

Advertising and marketing partners

We may work with advertising networks, publishers, platforms, affiliates, and other marketing partners. Depending on applicable law, certain advertising-related disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money is paid specifically for the information.

Legal or business transactions

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, enforce agreements, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.

5. Exclusive Leads

When a HomeFish Media campaign represents a lead as exclusive, HomeFish Media does not intentionally sell or simultaneously distribute that same lead to multiple competing law firms. This does not prevent an individual from independently contacting other attorneys or submitting information through unrelated services or advertisements.

6. Telephone Calls, Text Messages, and Email

If you provide a telephone number or email address, we may use it to respond to your inquiry and, where permitted, communicate about the request or relevant services. Depending on the campaign and consent provided, communications may be made by HomeFish Media, a participating law firm, or another specifically identified service provider.

Where required by law, appropriate consent will be requested before automated, prerecorded, artificial-voice, or marketing text communications are made. You may request that marketing communications stop. Promotional emails may be unsubscribed from using the mechanism included in the message, and text recipients may generally reply STOP to opt out of further marketing texts.

7. Call Recording

Telephone conversations involving HomeFish Media or service providers working on our behalf may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, verification, training, compliance, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping. Where required, notice or consent will be provided.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining business and transaction records, preserving consent records, complying with law, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and protecting legal rights. When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable obligations.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, database, network, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Consumer Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and the laws applicable to our processing, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of certain personal information; learn about categories of information collected or disclosed; opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; or appeal certain privacy decisions.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

11. How to Submit a Privacy Request

You may submit a privacy request by using the contact form at homefishmedia.com and clearly stating that the message is a Privacy Request. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority to make the request.

12. California Privacy Notice

Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), applies, California residents may have additional rights regarding personal information. Categories we may collect include identifiers, customer-record information, internet or electronic activity, approximate geolocation, professional or employment-related information, inferences, and potentially sensitive personal information voluntarily provided in connection with an accident, injury, medical treatment, or potential legal matter.

We may obtain such information from consumers, website visitors, advertisements, landing pages, referral partners, publishers, clients, advertising platforms, analytics providers, service providers, and other lawful sources.

California law defines “sale” and “sharing” broadly. If our practices constitute a sale or sharing under applicable law and applicable thresholds are met, we will provide legally required opt-out mechanisms, including an appropriate “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” method.

13. Universal Opt-Out Signals

Where required by applicable law, we will process legally recognized browser-based universal opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as requests to opt out of applicable sale, sharing, or targeted advertising associated with that browser or device.

14. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights under state comprehensive privacy laws. We will honor verified requests to the extent those laws apply to HomeFish Media.

15. Children’s Privacy

Our general websites and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our general website or lead-generation services. If we learn that we collected such information in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

16. Third-Party Websites and Social Media

Our sites may link to third-party websites or social-media services. HomeFish Media is not responsible for their privacy practices, security, or content. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

17. International Visitors

HomeFish Media primarily provides services in the United States. If you access our sites from outside the United States, information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, subject to applicable law.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technologies, practices, or legal requirements. We will revise the “Last Updated” date when changes are made.
